Yearly News Memory Test

Welcome to the website of Test Panel. At the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Duke University (Durham, NC) we are interested in memory. To examine memory, we would like to know how well people can remember certain information. For this purpose we have developed several tests on this website. With the Daily News Memory Test we measured how well people could remember recent news events.

As a follow-up to the highly succesfull Daily News Memory Test, we have developed the Yearly News Memory Test, in which you can test your memory for news events of the last sixty years. The test consists of fifteen open-ended and thirty multiple-choice questions. Registration for the test and completion of the test do not take longer than 20 minutes. At the end of the test your score will be compared to the scores of participants with a similar background as yourself.

Before you can participate, we would like to ask you for some personal information. By answering this form, we assume that you are giving your informed content for this experiment. All the answers to the questions will remain confidential, and will not be used improperly nor given to third parties. The Institutional Review Board (Ethical commission) of the University of Amsterdam and Duke University have approved this test.
